Dry skin? Here for you;

Dry skin can be uncomfortable and unattractive. It often shows up as rough, red, and itchy patches in places of the body that show arms, hands, lower legs, ankles. But it’s also common on the soles of the feet, thighs, and the abdomen.

Since most dry skin is due to external causes, it responds well to external skin care treatment. Just making a few adjustments to your daily skin care routine can help. No matter what the cause, there are many things you can do to make dry skin smooth and supple.

How to Take Care of Dry Skin:

Beauty Mask for Dry Skin (mix the ingredients thoroughly and use as a mask):

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of honey,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
  • few drops of rose water

After you clean and tone your skin, apply a splash of water or a water-misting. Pat almost dry with a soft towel, then smooth moisturizer from bosom to hairline. Allow five minutes for immediate absorption (cover your face and throat with warm washcloths to hasten penetration), then blot off any excess moisturizer with a tissue.

Men can skip the toner but should moisturize the delicate skin around the eye area.

Apply a touch of your natural moisturizer over the freshly cleansed, toned, and dampened skin on your throat, cheeks, and around your eyes. Men should follow a two-step process. Apply moisturizer immediately after shaving. Wait ten minutes. Then moisturize again.

Once a week, take a milk bath. It will nourish and smoothen your skin. Warm your bath water and put in 250 gram of powdered milk, half tablespoon of almond oil and a few drops of your favorite perfume. Then just lie in it and let your mind wander while the wholesome foam works wonders on your dry skin.

5 Lifestyle Tips for Relieving Dry Skin:

These strategies can also help make your skin supple and smooth:

  1. Plug in a humidifier at home to help keep skin hydrated when indoor air is dry during winter months.
  2. Wear cotton and other natural fibers. Wool, synthetics, or other fabrics can be scratchy and irritating.
  3. Drink plenty of water.
  4. Eat omega-3 foods. Essential fatty acids can help fortify the skin’s natural oil-retaining barriers. Foods rich in omega-3 include cold-water fish (salmon, halibut, sardines), flax, walnuts, and safflower oil.
  5. For itching or inflammation, apply a cool compress or a hydro cortisone cream on the area for a week. If these don’t provide relief, talk to your doctor.

How do you prevent dry skin?

  1. Dry skin is still something that is bothersome and can even be painful during the autumn and fall seasons. If you are prone to dry skin, you may not be able to get away from it, but you can combat it and make things easier for you.
  2. When the weather is bad, make sure that you wear protective clothing to keep the snap of the cold wind out. If you don’t do this, exposed skin is the first place that you will find dry skin located. That includes your face and your hands, to common areas for dry skin to appear.
  3. Avoid taking showers. If you have dry skin continuously, this is a great way to stop it. Showers, especially those that are of hot water, are detrimental to skin care. You are sure to find yourself relaxing better in a bath anyway. Showers actually strip the natural oils from your skin that can prevent dry skin.
  4. Use milder soaps on your skin. Look for bar soap and hand soap that is mild. There are several brands that are available to you that don’t contain such harsh chemicals and abrasives that can rip away the natural oils in your skin.
  5. Use lotions and moisturizers. If you know that your skin is going to be dry, use moisturizers to fight it before it happens. You can also tackle your problems more effectively if you treat dry skin sooner rather than later when it is painful.
  6. Use bath oils. Another way to get a treatment for your dry skin is to add bath oils to your bath water. These add in the oils that may be depleted because of the weather or other condition that is causing your dry skin.
  7. Use these methods to fight off your dry skin. You don’t have to worry about how bad it will be this year when you have a few tricks to fighting and preventing dry skin available to you now.

Advice:

  • Never use hot water when cleansing dry skin.
  • Don’t use a washcloth because a rough texture can irritate.

do you know this?

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

DEPRESSION:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

ANEMIA:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

BRAIN POWER:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

CONSTIPATION:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

HANGOVERS:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

HEARTBURN:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

MORNING SICKNESS:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

NERVES:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

ULCERS:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'

new addiction;

malam ni nak bercerita dengan anda pasal my new addiction: face mask.

korang pakai face mask tak? i dah start pakai mask since 2009 kalau tak silap. tak lah lewat sangat kan. time tu baru 20 tahun. tapi tak konsisten. kadang pakai, kadang tak. tengok stok la, haha. selalu dapat face mask free SK II punya. serious i tell u mask SK II memang power gila. lepas pakai mask tu lembut and rasa gebu pipi. alhamdulillah muka tak lah bermasalah sangat. cuma kadang-kadang kulit kering, especially area pipi. so ambil lah keputusan untuk pakai mask. face mask recommended used 2-3 times a week.

dengan bantuan encik google, here are the benefit of using face mask.

Then, type of face mask.
1. cream mask
2. exfoliating mask
3. peel-off mask
4. homemade mask

so here, i'll share with you pasal this new addiction.

memandangkan i still a student, so tak mampu la kan nak beli mask SK II consistently. so now, i buat survey which face mask yang rasa best. so far i beli face mask kat watson and guardian.

i dah try 2 face mask. yang i beli from guardian, Green Tea Face Mask and Lavender Face Mask.

Lavender Face Mask from guardian, RM 5.90

ini from guardian. dah pakai baru ingat nak snap gambar. so far i rasa yang ni better dari Green Tea Face Mask. Lavender Face Mask ni membantu merehatkan dan menenangkan kulit. yang bestnya ada pati minyak lavender. i pakai mask ni malam sabtu, so hasilnya pada hari Ahad. result best gila, kulit rasa lembut.

Tomato Juicy Mask Sheet from baviphat, RM5.90

ini i baru beli from junior i. diorang ada buka booth sempena Minggu Kesenian Islam. brand ni from Korea. semalam baru try and hasilnya boleh tahan, not bad. tapi i still suka yang Lavender from guardian tu. Face mask ni for moisture & bright.

Montagne jeunesse, moisturising with cocoa & shea butter

yang ni pula cream mask. bought from guardian too. yang ni belum try lagi. nanti dah try i share the result. :)

Camellia Japonica Hydrating Mask

bought from watson. packaging comel sangat. tak try lagi so tak tau result lagi. maybe Jumaat malam i'll try this. face mask ni for hydrating. i lebih banyak cari face mask for hydrating or moisturising.

Cellina Bridal Brightening Mask, only at watson

haaa, yang ni ada tulis kat belakang pek, best recommended to use before wedding or important function. agak-agak simpan dalam 5 tahun lagi boleh tak? nak pakai before wedding nanti, HAHAHA. face mask ni ada pure rose water and soluble collagen which brighten and hydrate your skin. i suka bab bab hydrate nih.

so now tiga ni yang i tak pakai lagi. nanti i dah pakai, we'll share the result.

for you all yang tak pernah try face mask lagi, try la. highly recommended for you all.

till then, take care guys. :)

brain damage;

a friend of mine forwarded this article to me via email. and now i'm sharing with you here.
spread this message to everyone you care..

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS
1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2 . Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our 20 body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6 . Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest.. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells..

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain
