Dry skin? Here for you;

Dry skin can be uncomfortable and unattractive. It often shows up as rough, red, and itchy patches in places of the body that show arms, hands, lower legs, ankles. But it’s also common on the soles of the feet, thighs, and the abdomen.

Since most dry skin is due to external causes, it responds well to external skin care treatment. Just making a few adjustments to your daily skin care routine can help. No matter what the cause, there are many things you can do to make dry skin smooth and supple.

How to Take Care of Dry Skin:

Beauty Mask for Dry Skin (mix the ingredients thoroughly and use as a mask):

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of honey,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
  • few drops of rose water

After you clean and tone your skin, apply a splash of water or a water-misting. Pat almost dry with a soft towel, then smooth moisturizer from bosom to hairline. Allow five minutes for immediate absorption (cover your face and throat with warm washcloths to hasten penetration), then blot off any excess moisturizer with a tissue.

Men can skip the toner but should moisturize the delicate skin around the eye area.

Apply a touch of your natural moisturizer over the freshly cleansed, toned, and dampened skin on your throat, cheeks, and around your eyes. Men should follow a two-step process. Apply moisturizer immediately after shaving. Wait ten minutes. Then moisturize again.

Once a week, take a milk bath. It will nourish and smoothen your skin. Warm your bath water and put in 250 gram of powdered milk, half tablespoon of almond oil and a few drops of your favorite perfume. Then just lie in it and let your mind wander while the wholesome foam works wonders on your dry skin.

5 Lifestyle Tips for Relieving Dry Skin:

These strategies can also help make your skin supple and smooth:

  1. Plug in a humidifier at home to help keep skin hydrated when indoor air is dry during winter months.
  2. Wear cotton and other natural fibers. Wool, synthetics, or other fabrics can be scratchy and irritating.
  3. Drink plenty of water.
  4. Eat omega-3 foods. Essential fatty acids can help fortify the skin’s natural oil-retaining barriers. Foods rich in omega-3 include cold-water fish (salmon, halibut, sardines), flax, walnuts, and safflower oil.
  5. For itching or inflammation, apply a cool compress or a hydro cortisone cream on the area for a week. If these don’t provide relief, talk to your doctor.

How do you prevent dry skin?

  1. Dry skin is still something that is bothersome and can even be painful during the autumn and fall seasons. If you are prone to dry skin, you may not be able to get away from it, but you can combat it and make things easier for you.
  2. When the weather is bad, make sure that you wear protective clothing to keep the snap of the cold wind out. If you don’t do this, exposed skin is the first place that you will find dry skin located. That includes your face and your hands, to common areas for dry skin to appear.
  3. Avoid taking showers. If you have dry skin continuously, this is a great way to stop it. Showers, especially those that are of hot water, are detrimental to skin care. You are sure to find yourself relaxing better in a bath anyway. Showers actually strip the natural oils from your skin that can prevent dry skin.
  4. Use milder soaps on your skin. Look for bar soap and hand soap that is mild. There are several brands that are available to you that don’t contain such harsh chemicals and abrasives that can rip away the natural oils in your skin.
  5. Use lotions and moisturizers. If you know that your skin is going to be dry, use moisturizers to fight it before it happens. You can also tackle your problems more effectively if you treat dry skin sooner rather than later when it is painful.
  6. Use bath oils. Another way to get a treatment for your dry skin is to add bath oils to your bath water. These add in the oils that may be depleted because of the weather or other condition that is causing your dry skin.
  7. Use these methods to fight off your dry skin. You don’t have to worry about how bad it will be this year when you have a few tricks to fighting and preventing dry skin available to you now.

Advice:

  • Never use hot water when cleansing dry skin.
  • Don’t use a washcloth because a rough texture can irritate.

new addiction;

malam ni nak bercerita dengan anda pasal my new addiction: face mask.

korang pakai face mask tak? i dah start pakai mask since 2009 kalau tak silap. tak lah lewat sangat kan. time tu baru 20 tahun. tapi tak konsisten. kadang pakai, kadang tak. tengok stok la, haha. selalu dapat face mask free SK II punya. serious i tell u mask SK II memang power gila. lepas pakai mask tu lembut and rasa gebu pipi. alhamdulillah muka tak lah bermasalah sangat. cuma kadang-kadang kulit kering, especially area pipi. so ambil lah keputusan untuk pakai mask. face mask recommended used 2-3 times a week.

dengan bantuan encik google, here are the benefit of using face mask.

Then, type of face mask.
1. cream mask
2. exfoliating mask
3. peel-off mask
4. homemade mask

so here, i'll share with you pasal this new addiction.

memandangkan i still a student, so tak mampu la kan nak beli mask SK II consistently. so now, i buat survey which face mask yang rasa best. so far i beli face mask kat watson and guardian.

i dah try 2 face mask. yang i beli from guardian, Green Tea Face Mask and Lavender Face Mask.

Lavender Face Mask from guardian, RM 5.90

ini from guardian. dah pakai baru ingat nak snap gambar. so far i rasa yang ni better dari Green Tea Face Mask. Lavender Face Mask ni membantu merehatkan dan menenangkan kulit. yang bestnya ada pati minyak lavender. i pakai mask ni malam sabtu, so hasilnya pada hari Ahad. result best gila, kulit rasa lembut.

Tomato Juicy Mask Sheet from baviphat, RM5.90

ini i baru beli from junior i. diorang ada buka booth sempena Minggu Kesenian Islam. brand ni from Korea. semalam baru try and hasilnya boleh tahan, not bad. tapi i still suka yang Lavender from guardian tu. Face mask ni for moisture & bright.

Montagne jeunesse, moisturising with cocoa & shea butter

yang ni pula cream mask. bought from guardian too. yang ni belum try lagi. nanti dah try i share the result. :)

Camellia Japonica Hydrating Mask

bought from watson. packaging comel sangat. tak try lagi so tak tau result lagi. maybe Jumaat malam i'll try this. face mask ni for hydrating. i lebih banyak cari face mask for hydrating or moisturising.

Cellina Bridal Brightening Mask, only at watson

haaa, yang ni ada tulis kat belakang pek, best recommended to use before wedding or important function. agak-agak simpan dalam 5 tahun lagi boleh tak? nak pakai before wedding nanti, HAHAHA. face mask ni ada pure rose water and soluble collagen which brighten and hydrate your skin. i suka bab bab hydrate nih.

so now tiga ni yang i tak pakai lagi. nanti i dah pakai, we'll share the result.

for you all yang tak pernah try face mask lagi, try la. highly recommended for you all.

till then, take care guys. :)

The Little Book of Detox;

nah, ambil part ni sebagai motivasi.

"Rasanya menyesal sangat dulu buat main-main. So to all you kids yang masih tengah belajar, jangan pikir just nak pass, just nak dapat segulung ijazah, itu salah. A very wrong mindset, aim to score. Bila masuk kelas tu, dengarlah lecture betul-betul, serap segala ilmu yang diberi. Masuk dengan niat 'aku nak belajar sesuatu'. Even though korang rasa 'eleh, ni aku pon tau / alah balik leh carik kat internet' bla bla bla. Salah tu, that's what happened to me dengan subjek Mass Media tu, taking things for granted.

Walaupun rasa susah, rasa tak boleh, rasa nak give up, try your best. Tell your lecturer your problems. Insya'Allah they will help you out. And kalau boleh cariklah kawan yang sama-sama rajin, motivate each other. Both my buddies, Nasya and Marina pon, score jugak. Rasa happy gila, sebab kitorang satu geng, study sama-sama, buat assignment sama-sama, presentation sama-sama. Kami buat discussion, dan tolong each other mana yang mampu. Dan jangan kedekut ilmu."

from SUEANNAJOE blog.

hahaha apasal buka buka ayat terus terus copy paragraph orang? ah, ini bukan niat nak copy cari glamer tapi all above are true. kan? tak percaya? boleh ambil mangkuk, isi air sampai separuh and buat buat tengok dalam mangkuk macam P.Ramlee.

dah lama sangat tak post apa apa entri kat sini. tapi walau apa pun yang terjadi, aku tetap blogwalking everyday. serious, everyday. update dari list bloggers yang aku follow semua aku baca, so far aku dah follow hampir 197 blogs.

so now, aku ada satu misi baru. aku dah susah hati and kesian dengan blog yang terabai ni. aku dah dapat satu penyelesaian macamana untuk pastikan blog ni akan di'update' at least 3 entri dalam 7 hari (seminggu). nak taw apa dia? jommmmmm terjah.

pernah baca/nampak buku ni? THE LITTLE BOOK OF DETOX. detox bukan sebarang detox. ni bukan sesi detox macam tampal kat tapak kaki malam malam and bangun pagi tengok dah ada toksik keluar dari badan. hoho. meh nak cerita.

buku ni from Reader's Digest. Published on 1999, reprinted on 2005 by Judy Piatkus Books Ltd, London. even buku ni kecil tapi sangat banyak tips yang boleh membantu.

"Carry it with you always and when you feel 'toxed' - stressed, tired, lethargic, in need of cheering up, sluggish, in need of a boost, or fuzzy headed. - Simply open the book, pick a page, and do it!"

so, aku akan share dengan readers semua a page a day. kot kot boleh merubah hari anda kan? kalau nak cari entri ni, aku akan label under DETOX. finally, i hope effort aku ni boleh sedikit sebanyak membantu korang semua.

"give it a try - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. you deserve it!"

Need i say more? tak sabar nak share :)

how to celebrate your solo days;

Yes, we know having a boyfriend is great and we know it’s beautiful and kind. But all we’re saying today, and all we’re trying to prove, is that you don’t need a killer girlfriend to have a killer mood.

Let’s chat about ten winning ways to celebrate your solo days:

1. Some like it hot. When you’re on your own you’re the master of the tank and the chances of a random flush scalding your skin is pretty slim. You’re less likely to run out of hot water so just twist that dial and soak into the zone.

2. One set of parents. Sure, you lose out on some inlaw naps but you could gain back holiday budgets, extra bedrooms, and Saturday evenings. Note to any inlaws reading this: This entry is about other inlaws, not you.

3. Take back the night. When you’re bumping around by yourself there’s no need to worry about making too much noise early or late. Tiptoes, quiet TV watching, and softly shutting doors take a backseat to cranking tunes, late-night phone calls, and your big galoomping feet.

4. Don’t be an ass. Single folks have no obligation to do joint Halloween costumes like Beauty and the Beast or the classic two-person donkey. Because don’t we all feel a little bit sorry for that couple dressed as Salt and Pepper shakers leaving the party at 10pm?

5. Flirt like you mean it.Chitchatting with sparkly objects of your desire is good fun. When you’re single ditch the guilt and holler at the busty waitress or chiseled cop. Not only is it exciting, but you’re growing your social skills and constantly meeting new people.

6. Getting to know you. You’re the only you you’ve got. Born and blasted into the world you’re a baby brain who flies through life forming crackly connections with everyone you meet. But getting to know yourself through experiences and deep thoughts adds important shapes and smears to your identity.

7. Bargain basement holidays. Tap your wallet and smile next time you walk by a towering Valentine’s Day display of heart-filled chocolates and pink teddy bears.

8. You can get with this or you can get with that. Are you hungry at 11pm? Get a burger! Are you bored on a Saturday night? Hit the scene! Do you want to free up your busy weekend or busy up your free one? Well the choice is yours! You can get with this or you can get with that. I think you’ll get with this for this is where it’s at.

9. Own your bed, own your life. When you’re single the entire bed is yours and you can test a variety of Starfish poses, Chun-Li leg kick positions, or even the extremely bold diagonal sleeping. (Rarely done.)

10. Embrace your disgusting habits. Clipping your toenails in bed, napping in piles of dirty clothes, or chomping greasy handfuls of potato chips over the sink is fine, fine, fine. The mirror won’t judge you and neither will anybody else.

People, let’s hear it today for being single. Exploring the world, finding adventures, and scoping big scenes are hallmarks of being cool with being you. Because look — falling in love is great and falling in love is nice but that doesn’t mean going alone can’t also be sugar and spice. Good days and bad days, setting suns and shining stars, it’s all about perspective and focusing on who you are. Because if all you need is love, and all love needs is you, then it’s great to relax and enjoy… just being you with you.

brain damage;

a friend of mine forwarded this article to me via email. and now i'm sharing with you here.
spread this message to everyone you care..

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS
1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2 . Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our 20 body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6 . Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest.. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells..

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain
